Month 2

This month has started off as a very busy one. I've had some doctor's appointments and gotten some shots.

This is my two month photo shoot:

I got to have breakfast with Grandma Claire:

and dinner with Grandpa Paul and Grandma Sue:

I went to a Saucy Solution tasting party. It was more fun for my Mommy and Daddy because they don't make baby formula yet! There are pictures to come so stay tuned.

I also met some new friends - Michael and Gwen and had lunch at a new restaurant in Somers. Again, I still had to eat formula while everyone else got pizza! It's just not fair. But I had a great time. Michael and Gwen are so fun. I hope I get to see them again soon.

I also met Brigitte and I was a little fresh but she didn't mind. I was sleeping anyway.

This was also my first St. Patrick's Day. No beer for me! Mommy really does think I am charming but Grandma Sue bought me this shirt!

I did go back to Brooklyn and I finally got to go over the famous bridge! There wasn't even traffic. Daddy says that never happens. I had a full day again. I visited with John from Daddy's old job and then spent some time with Grandma Norma and Jackie. They were always there for my Daddy and now they are there for me too! After that we had lunch with Rachel at Two Boots. I'll get to eat their pizza when I'm older. I also met Lauri and Ronny and am still waiting for my Park Slope Day Camp tshirt! They said I couldn't enroll in camp for another few years. Oh well! They wouldn't pick me up in Westchester anyway. After that we had dinner at the Cantina with Trina, Jimmy, Caitlin, James and George and I had a great time. Caitlin was the best babysitter and Trina taught Mommy a few things about changing me on the fly. I had such a great time, I didn't want to leave but it was getting late and we had to go home. It was such an exciting day that I didn't even nap!

It's been a fun filled month. On Saturday the 27th I get to see the doctor again and get more shots! They are not so bad. I'm also having breakfast with Grandma again and this time she's bringing Grandpa too. Even Aunt Marisa, Uncle Davey and Bryan are coming. I'm so excited but I just wish I got to eat pancakes instead of formula.

Then on Sunday I'm going back to Long Island to see Great Grandma Marilyn and Great Aunt Jane again and maybe meet some of my second cousins and Great Aunt Ellen.

I've got some paperwork for a fundraiser at my school also. Check it out at http://www.midlandfundraising.com/ and my group ID is 5LIT0075. I'm going to get a seller ID too but I don't know what it is yet.

Stay tuned and see what adventures I have next month!

1 month

So lots of stuff happened during my first month. I met a lot of people and I love them all! There are more pictures on my facebook. Please become a fan of me! I also went to my first superbowl party at my friends Amanda & Scott's house! I didn't really watch the game but the commercials were awesome. I didn't have a favorite team but I won some money on the coin toss! I took my first trip up to Queensbury to see Grandma Sue and Grandpa Paul at their house and slept over. It was warm and cozy. We went for a walk by Lake George and when we got home we snuggled by the fire (well the stove). I also visited some very good friends in Brooklyn. That's where my Daddy comes from. It was great to finally meet The Staiano's! I also got all dressed up for Valentine's Day and Grandma Sue and Grandpa Paul babysat me while Mommy and Daddy went out to lunch for the first time without me. I really missed them but they came home quick and we got to play the rest of the day. I almost forgot that I started school this month also! Here I am resting before my first day. I love my school. My teachers Ms. Anna and Ms. Toni are so awesome. I get to play with the other kids. I made some new friends and I love seeing them everyday. Even bigger news is that I can turn over from my belly to my back. I was so excited to show my mom and dad. Mommy even got a video - check it out! At just 5 weeks I did it!

Phew, this has been a long post but it was a great month. Catch you next month!

Welcome Jacob

Jacob William Wright joined our family on January 7, 2010 at 6:22pm. He weighed in at 6 lbs 9 oz and 19 1/2 inches long.

It was definitely a long day at the hospital. We left the house at 4am and picked up Aunt Marisa and headed down to Bronxville. We did some hospital paperwork and then waited for blood work and got the show on the road. The doctor came in and broke my water (which was really gross) and gave me Pitocin (to start labor) and we were on the way. After about an hour and a half of labor, I opted for some drugs. After that, labor was ok. After a few hours, the doctor checked and I was not dialating so we waited some more and at about 5:30pm decided to do a C section. I was prepped and moved out. Both sets of grandparents waited anxiously in the waiting room.

At 6:22pm, Jacob finally joined us. He scored a perfect 10 on the Apgar scale and was beautiful. He was whisked away to the nursery and Daddy went with him. I hung around for a while as the doctors finished me up and then I was wheeled into recovery feeling nauseous and tired and looking forward to really seeing my son.

In recovery I had some visitors. Grandma Claire & Grandpa Leo came in but I could barely open my eyes. Grandpa Paul & Grandma Sue came also. Soon I headed up to my room where we were reunited with Jacob. It was pretty late and I was wiped out. Everyone went home and we called it a night.
